The Meat Clerk obtains or prepares food items requested by customers. This role is responsible for learning procedures and products offered for sale in the Meat Department, including all codes used, general cooking procedures and usage for all meat products, and the production of prepared food items like marinades and stuffers. The clerk satisfies customer requests by obtaining items from behind the counter, labels and packages purchases to ensure customer satisfaction, and accurately scales weighable merchandise. Additionally, the clerk sets up displays and stocks shelves, coolers, counters, bins, tables, freezers, containers, or trays with new merchandise.
