Responsibilities include assisting in maintaining product freshness, proper code dating, tares, and merchandising in compliance with governmental guidelines and company policies. The individual must be capable of recognizing the quality of meats, distinguishing between types and cuts, and assisting with department pricing, rotation, and merchandising to meet company objectives. Maintaining awareness of competitive activity, pulling outdated products, rewrapping, or applying new labels as necessary, and staying informed about current sale prices and product locations are also key duties. Prompt and friendly responses to guest inquiries are expected.
