About The Position

Join us as a Meat & Seafood Associate and support the preparation, display, and rotation of fresh products while maintaining top-tier standards for food safety, cleanliness, and customer service. This role involves hands-on work with high-quality food production and direct customer interaction.

  • Willingness and enthusiasm to learn about meat and seafood products, preparation, food safety, and department equipment.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and food safety.
  • Ability to learn to use knives, cutting tools, and department equipment safely and effectively.
  • Basic math skills for calculating weights, measures, and pricing accurately.
  • Ability to follow safety procedures, including guidelines for cleaning chemicals and equipment.
  • Flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays depending on department needs.
  • Valid Food Handler’s Certificate required shortly after hire date.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous meat department experience is welcome, but not required—we will provide training.
  • Previous customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide friendly, attentive customer service by answering questions, helping customers find products, and creating a positive shopping experience.
  • Learn about meat and seafood products, including different cuts, preparation methods, proper handling, storage, and rotation.
  • Prepare house-made products including burger blends, sausage, hot wings, carne asada, and smoked meats.
  • Stock, rotate, label, date, and merchandise meat and seafood products to maintain freshness and quality.
  • Follow food safety procedures, including proper temperatures, storage, sanitation, and quality control.
  • Maintain clean, organized, and well-stocked display cases, coolers, cutting rooms, and work areas.
  • Learn to safely use, clean, and maintain department equipment, including saws, grinders, tenderizers, knives, and other tools.
