About The Position

This role involves oversight of measurement systems, including calibration of tanks, tank cars, and equipment, as well as tank gauging, gas and liquid measurement, meter proving, and temperature & pressure correction for volumetric measurements. The technician will also be involved in control charting, applying basic concepts and applications of statistics. A key responsibility is providing operability and maintainability inputs for the Instruments & Controls discipline. The role requires installation, maintenance, and calibration of measurement equipment, as well as installation and maintenance of radio equipment to ensure communication uplinks. The candidate must be able to participate in and understand various measurement technologies and standards, including orifice/ultrasonic/turbine/Coriolis measurement, AGA Measurement Standards, Fisher ROC/ABB configurations, Radio communications, and hydrocarbon sampling for analysis. A strong commitment to safety culture and environmental standards is essential.

Requirements

Must be able to demonstrate the aptitude to perform and/or participate in the below tasks
College degree required for Level III Mechanical Technician

Nice To Haves

Experience installing and maintaining Fisher ROCs and ABB gas measurement equipment
Experience with WinCCU software
A minimum of 3 years of industry experience

Responsibilities

Oversight of measurement systems
Calibration (tanks, tank cars, equipment, etc.)
Tank gauging
Gas and liquid measurement
Meter proving
Temperature & pressure correction for volumetric measurements
Control charting (including basic concepts & applications of statistics)
Providing operability and maintainability inputs and expertise for the Instruments & Controls discipline
Install, maintain, and calibrate measurement equipment
Install and maintain radio equipment and ensure communication uplinks
Participate and understand orifice/ultrasonic/turbine/Coriolis measurement, AGA Measurement Standards, Fisher ROC/ABB configurations, Radio communications, and hydrocarbon sampling for analysis
Set process controls in both the field and processing plants
Maintain, calibrate and perform testing and preventative maintenance on said equipment
Install, test, troubleshoot and run diagnostic tests on RTU equipment
Test calibration and troubleshoot transmitters on communication equipment
Install/test flow transmitters in the field
Test and check moisture content, gravity and CO2 of gas
