About The Position

ONEOK’s Natural Gas Liquids (NGL) segment is seeking a Measurement Technician - Intermediate to support field measurement operations based in Medford or Enid, Oklahoma. This role will help ensure accurate, reliable measurement across the Medford Frac facility and other Oklahoma assets by installing, testing, calibrating, repairing, and maintaining measurement and regulation equipment, including flow meters, regulators, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and related instrumentation. In this hands-on, on-site position, the Measurement Technician will perform measurement, sampling, regulation, troubleshooting, and maintenance activities at facilities while following corporate measurement procedures and supporting operational, safety, and DOT compliance requirements. Responsibilities include preparing job orders and completion reports, documenting equipment tests and repairs, supporting meter and regulator installation or removal, generating batch tickets, witnessing meter calibrations as needed, and working closely with corporate measurement personnel to maintain measurement integrity across the system. The ideal candidate will bring technical aptitude, strong attention to detail, and experience or training related to meter testing and installation, regulating flow and pressure, servicing measurement equipment, interpreting measurement data, and applying operating and safety procedures. An electrical background and flow computer experience are strongly preferred. While direct industry experience is preferred, candidates with automation or similar technical backgrounds from other industries may also bring transferable skills that align well with the role. This position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with eight-hour workdays and includes an on-call rotation every third weekend. Some overnight travel may be required depending on project work across the system. This is an excellent opportunity for a safety-focused, self-motivated technician to support critical NGL infrastructure, build expertise in measurement systems, and contribute to reliable operations across ONEOK’s Oklahoma assets.

Requirements

  • Training and/or experience relative to: Meter testing and installation
  • Regulating flow and pressure
  • Company and governmental operating/safety procedures
  • Servicing/repairing measuring station equipment
  • Interpretation of measurement data
  • Characteristics of product handled
  • Experience in reading and interpreting maps, plats, atlas pages, dials, gauges, sample reports, drawings, procedures, correction tables, and applicable operation and safety manuals
  • Ability to install, test, repair, and maintain measurement and regulation equipment
  • Ability to use, maintain, and repair tools and equipment used to regulate flow of gas
  • Ability to apply basic arithmetic: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Application of formulas to validate volume calculations/corrections
  • Ability to communicate and/or exchange written and verbal information and instructions
  • Ability to climb and maintain balance on ladders. Able to operate on elevated work surfaces.
  • Ability to work in confined areas.
  • Ability to react immediately to emergency situations to prevent injury to self and others.
  • Ability to operate tools and equipment as required
  • Ability to travel over uneven terrain including but not limited to mud, gravel, sand, rocks, ice and / or snow

Responsibilities

  • Install, test, calibrate, repair, and maintain orifice, positive, Coriolis, Ultrasonic, and dry flow meters, regulator settings, telemetering systems, electronic flow computers, odorant systems, and relief valves (as specified by position)
  • Perform measurement, sampling, and regulation operations and maintenance at facilities
  • Calibrate and maintain test instrumentation and auxiliary equipment
  • Drive and ensure maintenance of company vehicle
  • Effective interaction with corporate measurement personnel and adherence to corporate measurement procedures
  • Prepare reports including but not limited to (as specified by position): Job orders and completion reports, Meter and regulator installation and/or removal (Test-It), Equipment and operational tests, repairs, and maintenance, DOT compliance reports, Sample reports
  • Generate batch tickets
  • Witness meter calibrations per contractual obligations
  • Responsibilities may include Department of Transportation (DOT) covered functions, including operations, maintenance, or emergency response on a pipeline.
