About The Position

The position of Measurement Technician involves measuring the levels of batteries, storage tanks, scrubbers, and vessels in a plant and field environment. This role is responsible for, and assists with, installing and maintaining mechanical and electronic measurement equipment, witnessing custody transfer meter calibrations, and developing and applying skills in installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting natural gas, crude oil measurement systems, and pneumatic devices and controls.

Requirements

• Intermediate level, typically 3-5 years of experience.
• High School Diploma or GED, at the minimum.
• Valid US Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
• Provides technical/functional and/or administrative support.
• General working knowledge of specific systems, terminology and procedures used within the department.
• Performs routine tasks.
• Able to solve problems and make basic decisions.
• Must live within 45 miles of Kenedy, TX.
• Must be able to meet all conditional job offer requirements including background, drug, MVR, agility and fit for duty.
• Must be able to lift 40 lbs., climb ladders and stairs.
• Walking, bending stooping is required.
• Must be able to wear personal protective equipment.
• Must be able to respond to visual and audible alarms.
• Understanding of importance of environmental and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Supports Operations group and ensure that contract obligations and lease agreements are complied with in regards to the scheduling of Meter Test, calibration verification of the Secondary Element, inspection of the Primary Element, and Natural Gas Sampling in accordance with ConocoPhillips Measurement Policies and Procedures.
• Responsible for maintenance and repair of measurement station, and associated equipment including and not limited to EFM (Electronic Flow Meters), meter tubes, composite samplers, radio communications, PD meters, Coriolis meters, and auxiliary pressure transmitters.
• Responsible for scheduling and maintaining various types of measurement equipment as it pertains to the petroleum industry.
