About The Position

The Measurement Specialist will serve as the primary liaison for projects, perform advanced troubleshooting, and support Measurement Technicians in the installation, operation, and maintenance of all measurement equipment. This role requires safe operation of company vehicles, advising on measurement interests in project work and commissioning, and resolving complex measurement issues. The specialist will assist technicians with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of various measurement devices, provide training, audit measurement stations, and participate in operational reviews to ensure accuracy and reliability. This position also involves supporting system balances, resolving operational issues, and maintaining effective communication with a wide range of stakeholders. Monitoring SCADA and MDS systems, demonstrating analytical and abstract thinking, and the ability to manage multiple tasks are crucial. Promoting a safe working environment, adhering to regulations, and performing all duties with integrity are essential. The role requires self-motivation and the ability to work independently in a field setting with minimal supervision.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 3 years of related experience in the natural gas industry.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver license with a safe driving record.
  • Advanced knowledge, technical expertise, and work experience relating to this position.
  • Basic computer skills including proficiency with MS Outlook and Excel.
  • Proficiency with specialized software to interface with Electronic Flow Meters (EFMs), Gas Chromatographs, and other related equipment.
  • Analytical and abstract thinking skills with the ability to quickly process information and solve problems.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently in a field setting with minimal direct supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as primary liaison for projects.
  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of measurement issues.
  • Support Measurement Technicians in installing, operating, and maintaining measurement equipment.
  • Operate a company-owned vehicle safely.
  • Advise and represent measurement interests in project work and commissioning.
  • Assist Measurement Technicians with troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of EFMs, primary measurement devices, gas chromatographs, continuous samplers, LACT units, and regulation equipment.
  • Provide training to Measurement Technicians.
  • Audit measurement stations.
  • Participate in operational review of measurement policy, procedures, equipment, and facility design.
  • Support system balances and advise other Operations groups.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, Measurement Analysts, Producer Customers, internal workgroups, and Management.
  • Monitor SCADA and MDS systems to identify and address potential issues.
  • Promote and ensure a safe working environment and compliance with regulations.
  • Perform all assigned duties in a safe, professional manner with integrity.
