About The Position

This is a part-time, non-benefited position. Only UND students are eligible to be hired in this position. The purpose of this role is to assist in maintaining the machining, welding, and woodworking lab spaces in Upson, help students and faculty with lab projects, and manage lab inventory and equipment.

Requirements

• Mechanical / Aerospace Student familiar with welding, woodworking, machining equipment, and tools.
• Successful completion of a Criminal History Background Check
• In compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the US and to complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
• This position does not support visa sponsorship for continued employment.

Responsibilities

• Sort and organize tools, supplies, and equipment
• Assist in maintaining the machining, welding, and woodworking lab spaces in Upson
• Help students and faculty with lab projects
• Equipment cleaning, maintenance, and lubrication
• Help to manage the inventory of supplies in the labs
• Assist with shop training sessions
