About The Position
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented MDS Coordinator to join our skilled nursing team in Delaware, Ohio. This is an excellent opportunity for a nurse who is passionate about resident-centered care, clinical excellence, and maximizing reimbursement accuracy through effective MDS management. As the MDS Coordinator, you will play a key role in coordinating the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI) process, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional outcomes for residents.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the State of Ohio
- Strong understanding of RAI/MDS processes and Medicare reimbursement systems
- Knowledge of PDPM and skilled nursing facility regulations
- Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Nice To Haves
- Previous MDS Coordinator experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete MDS assessments in accordance with federal and state regulations
- Manage the RAI process and ensure timely completion of assessments and care plans
- Monitor Medicare, Managed Care, and Medicaid reimbursement opportunities
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and other departments to ensure accurate documentation
- Conduct chart reviews and audits to support compliance and reimbursement accuracy
- Participate in care plan meetings and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Stay current with regulatory changes and reimbursement guidelines
- Support quality measures and clinical outcomes initiatives
