About The Position
Ginger Cove, a premier CARF-accredited life-care retirement community in Annapolis, Maryland, is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join their clinical leadership team as the MDS Coordinator. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys clinical documentation, quality improvement, care planning, and collaborative work within an interdisciplinary team. The position offers a consistent daytime schedule and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on resident care quality.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland
- Proficiency with electronic medical records
- CPR/First Aid certification (or ability to obtain)
- MDS experience required
- Strong knowledge of MDS regulations and submission process
- Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and complete all MDS assessments and resident care plans
- Ensure timely, accurate documentation and regulatory compliance
- Lead interdisciplinary care plan meetings with residents and families
- Monitor CMS Quality Measures and identify opportunities for improvement
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, dietary, social services, and rehabilitation teams
- Support Medicare reimbursement accuracy through complete documentation
- Participate in QAPI initiatives and survey readiness
- Assist with policy development, clinical documentation, and quality improvement initiatives
- Help maintain compliance with federal and state regulations
