About The Position

This position is responsible for setting liners in hulls, performing stringer lamination, and preparing molds. The role involves placing, centering, and rigging a press, then torquing it to set the liner in the hull. Additionally, mold preparation after maintenance, including buffing and waxing, is a key responsibility. The job requires adherence to company safety policies and procedures, and the ability to operate various tools and equipment safely.

Requirements

Must be able to use hand tools, including drill, grinder, and buffer.
Able to understand spoken instructions with regard to job training and safety concerns.
Ability to speak conversational English.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed finishing of all products.
Ability to deal with changes related to equipment use and productivity.

Responsibilities

Set liners in hulls, apply glue and reset liner and press.
Center press, rig and torque onto hull.
Wax and buff mold and prepare for taping.
Reports to work on time for designated shift.
Adheres to company safety policies and procedures.
Apply wax coating on entire mold to insure easier separation from gel coat finish layer.
Apply masking tape to edge of in a consistent and productive manner.
Drill holes for introduction of foam.
Patch and fill holes provided for foam access.
Remove excess glue/adhesive from liner and press in place.
Safely operate lift and press.
Grip and provide pulling force to ratchet press to appropriate standard force level.
Read numerical value on molds to identify each model type.
Perform related duties as assigned.
