MBX LEAN Engineer

About The Position

The MBX LEAN Engineer identifies, plans, and implements initiatives to reduce costs while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods. The role drives continuous improvement through change management and the application of best practices, develops Value Stream Mapping plans and Kaizen roadmaps, and supports regular President’s Kaizen events. It also develops corrective action plans based on Lean assessments, supports operational cost-reduction objectives, trains colleagues in Lean techniques, and serves as a subject matter expert. The position monitors and audits key performance indicators for accuracy and recommends root-cause problem-solving actions.

Requirements

Ability to successfully manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to clearly communicate project performance and results to Management and prepare associated presentations as needed.
Proficient in facilitating consensus among diverse viewpoints within a group, including when opinions differ.
Demonstrated ability to thrive in team environments, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport.

Responsibilities

Identify, plan, and implement activities to reduce costs while improving quality, safety, and delivery methods.
Implement and drive continuous improvement activities through change management and best practices.
Develop Value Stream Mapping (VSM) plans for assigned facilities.
Build Kaizen plans and roadmaps for identified areas of opportunity.
Support regular President’s Kaizen events.
Develop corrective action plans based on Lean assessments.
Uphold cost-reduction programs to achieve annual operational savings objectives.
Train colleagues on Lean techniques and methodologies.
Serve as a subject matter expert.
Monitor and audit key performance indicators (KPIs) to ensure data is valid and accurate, and recommend root-cause problem-solving actions.
Perform other duties as assigned.
