About The Position

This role requires a minimum of 6 or more years of systems engineering experience across the lifecycle (e.g., concepts, requirements, design support, integration, V&V). The ideal candidate will have experience using Cameo or similar tools for system modeling, and possess knowledge of communications systems including UHF, WiFi, and cellular/5G. Experience with NASA human spaceflight programs, particularly in testing spacecraft, spacesuits, and space vehicles, is highly desirable. The position also calls for strong attention to detail, excellent writing and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior decision-makers and technical audiences. Experience in start-up organizations is a plus.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 or more years of systems engineering experience including activities across the lifecycle (e.g., concepts, requirements, design support, integration, V&V) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience using Cameo or similar tools for creation, analysis, and application of System Models to address systems development trades and architecture development.
• Experience with communications systems including UHF, WiFi, and cellular/5G.
• Experience with NASA human spaceflight programs, with related experience in the testing of spacecraft, spacesuits, space vehicles.
• A strong attention to detail while appreciating the bigger picture of complex and ambitious projects.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills with experience communicating to senior decision-makers and technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s Degree in an engineering (aerospace, electrical, mechanical, or related discipline).
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Ability to complete a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
• Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Space Suits is preferred.
• Experience in Start-up organizations a plus.
• INCOSE CSEP preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilize system models to address systems development trades and architecture development.
• Apply systems engineering activities across the lifecycle, including concepts, requirements, design support, integration, and verification & validation (V&V).
• Test spacecraft, spacesuits, and space vehicles.
• Communicate effectively with senior decision-makers and technical audiences.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed to meet critical project milestones.
