About The Position

Our Air Traffic Systems Engineering Department has an immediate opportunity for a Systems Engineer to join our ATS Air Traffic Control (ATC) team in Fullerton, CA, Omaha, NE or Marlborough, MA. As part of the ATS team, you'll be instrumental in supporting the next generation of Air Traffic Control by supporting the replacement of the Federal Aviation System’s (FAA) aging legacy systems. This position requires occasional domestic travel.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
  • U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.
  • Experience in Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
  • Proficient with Digital Engineering Tools (DOORS/DNG, Cameo, Microsoft Office Suite, Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience with system and sub-system level requirements and verification documentation methods
  • Experience in Systems Engineering Requirements Activities: requirement derivation, interface allocations, systems integration, requirement sell off, requirements analysis, procedure development, test development, test execution and evaluation of results

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with generating and maintaining technical documentation, such as specifications, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Test Requirement Documents (TRDs), and Verification Cross Reference Matrices
  • Familiar with Engineering Lifecycle Optimization (ELO) - Publishing
  • Use/develop scripts to automate the upload and download of documentation to and from Dynamic Object-Oriented Requirements System (DOORS) in a variety of formats
  • Experience with Agile Development Processes
  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning, Modeling and Simulation Applications, Agile/Scrum, and Atlassian Jira/Confluence

Responsibilities

  • Perform the system requirement assessments and interface requirements
  • Perform networking and integration activities to support development, maintenance, and deployment of the system
  • Manage and/or generate systems engineering related documentation of legacy and newly developed products (design memos, specifications, diagrams, Interface Control Documents, test requirements/plans, optimization procedures) in support of projects.
