Medline’s MBA Internship Program offers MBA students a unique opportunity to contribute meaningfully while developing the analytical and leadership skills needed to grow their careers in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The Finance MBA Intern partners with business and finance leaders to analyze complex business challenges, evaluate financial and operational performance, and develop recommendations that drive strategic decision-making. During this 12-week internship, the intern will contribute to initiatives such as financial planning and analysis (FP&A), corporate development, business intelligence, strategic finance, capital allocation, cost optimization, and performance analytics. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, business acumen, and the ability to influence stakeholders through data-driven insights and professional communication.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing an MBA degree
- 3+ years of professional business experience in Finance or related field
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfort working with data
- Ability to establish and maintain relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization, in the business community & with vendors along with preferred negotiation experience
- Demonstrated ability to present to senior management with the purpose of influencing decisions
Responsibilities
- Use quantitative analysis, financial modeling, and business insights to evaluate performance, identify opportunities, and solve complex problems. Demonstrates curiosity and a structured approach to decision-making.
- Assesses financial and business risks, evaluates tradeoffs, and develops thoughtful recommendations supported by data. Exercise discretion when managing confidential or sensitive information.
- Develop and present actionable recommendations to cross-functional stakeholders
- Support strategic initiatives, process improvements, or cost-savings efforts
- Collaborate with teams across Sales, Operations, Product Management, Finance, and more to solve real business problems
- Prepare leadership-ready presentations or reports to share findings
