About The Position

The MBA Development Program offers participants the opportunity to contribute to strategic Vanguard initiatives as part of three, 5-month rotations across Vanguard with the goal of accelerating the participant's development into leadership. The hands-on experience and rigorous enrichment from rotational development accelerates the growth of a candidate coming in with strong conceptual thinking, executive presence and relationship management skills. Requirements

  • An undergraduate and MBA degree.
  • A minimum of 5 years work experience post undergrad reflecting a progression of increased responsibilities and impact, including exposure to strategy, consulting, or business analytics.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a willingness to explore challenges and pivot as needed.
  • Deep curiosity and interest in investment management and demonstrated agility in learning.
  • Excellent relationship management and leadership skills.
  • Clear and effective communicator.
  • Ability to make strategic decisions with an ability to collaboratively influence and effectively interact at all levels, both internally and externally in a matrixed environment.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in high-impact strategic assignments, across different areas of the business, to help meet the financial needs of our clients.
  • Impact the way people invest by seizing new opportunities and identifying critical insights for Vanguard.
  • Receive thorough coaching and mentorship from Vanguard’s senior management.
  • Complete a comprehensive onboarding program anchored by Vanguard business and baseline investment acumen.
  • Integrate into a robust alumni network who share your belief of doing what’s right for our clients.
  • Uncover your journey to success with individualized pathways ranging from a focused specialization to pivotal initiatives serving the broader enterprise.
  • Tackle business challenges with rigor, demonstrating the ability to successfully acclimate into each area, understand the objectives of the assignment in the broader context of Vanguard, exceed or achieve rotation objectives with accountability for all projects and assignments.
  • Build sound business and investment skills through onboarding and rotations.
  • Apply understanding of Vanguard's investment methodology, products and services, and the competitive environment to deliver and complete high-impact projects.
  • Conduct efficient and detailed research and analysis of strategic, driven, product/service and business model opportunities and issues confronting Vanguard.
  • Interpret and analyze both internal and external data of high complexity using conceptual thinking and discernment to derive key insights for strategic projects.
  • Refine presentation and leadership impact skills through formal and informal training through peer, mentor, and leader feedback.
  • Engage in continual personal and professional development with a proven dedication to training and research and building tenacious personal learning habits.
  • Manage projects from inception through implementation ensuring project requirements are met.

  • Base Pay: $145,000
