About The Position

This role is designed for a technical leader who can independently program, set up, troubleshoot, and optimize complex 5-axis machining operations. The selected candidate will take ownership of precision component production, ensuring programs are accurate, setups are efficient, and finished parts consistently meet demanding tolerance and quality standards. This is not an entry-level machining role. Candidates must demonstrate advanced 5-axis programming capability, deep machine knowledge, and the ability to validate and refine machining strategies in a production environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum 5+ years of Mazak CNC programming experience
  • Demonstrated hands-on experience with Mazak Integrex and/or Variaxis machines
  • Advanced GD&T proficiency and blueprint interpretation skills
  • Proven ability to independently develop programs, execute setups, and validate first articles
  • Experience performing in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipment
  • Stable employment history in machining environments

Responsibilities

  • Develop, edit, and optimize CNC programs for Mazak Integrex and Variaxis machines
  • Perform complete machine setups including tooling selection, fixturing, and validation
  • Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T requirements to ensure dimensional accuracy
  • Conduct in-process and final inspections to confirm tolerance compliance
  • Troubleshoot machining issues related to tool wear, offsets, fixturing, and process variation
  • Support production teams by improving cycle times and maintaining process stability
  • Document setup sheets and machining parameters for repeatability and standardization
  • Collaborate with quality and engineering teams to resolve technical challenges
