About The Position

Maximo Lead Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing Maximo applications for USPS enterprise systems. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with engineers and analysts to deliver robust software solutions. Leads development of algorithms, database design, and integration strategies. Oversees developer teams, ensures software quality, and mitigates risks. Applies scientific analysis and modeling to optimize system performance and meet user requirements within time and cost constraints.

Requirements

  • Experience and deep knowledge of Maximo, functional and technical areas/disciplines.
  • Ability to conduct research on special areas.
  • Experience in developing and implementing algorithms.
  • Experience in database design.
  • Experience in devising possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other options.
  • Experience working as part of a team to write a specific section of the program.
  • Experience combining all elements of the program design and testing it.
  • Experience testing sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and implement Maximo applications, enhancements, and configurations across functional and technical areas.
  • Develop algorithms and design/optimize relational databases to support performance and scalability.
  • Create software development plans, technical strategies, and coding standards to guide project execution.
  • Work closely with stakeholders and team members, contributing to solution design and sharing technical expertise.
  • Conduct research on specialized areas, devise solutions to potential issues, and evaluate alternatives.
  • Oversee work of developers.
  • Conduct quality control of software development.
  • Conduct proactive risk identification and mitigation of software development process.
  • Devise possible solutions to predicted problems, evaluating other options.
  • Work as part of a team to write a specific section of the program.
  • Combine all elements of the program design and testing it.
  • Test sample data-sets to check that output from the program works as intended.
