Requirements

  • Techno-functional solution architect role, requiring both deep functional and technical understanding.
  • Deep functional knowledge of Manhattan TMS (Manhattan Active TMS preferred), including carrier management, contract/rate management, shipment planning, tendering, dock scheduling, and carrier communication.
  • Understanding of how MATM integrates with WMS/ERP systems at a solution-design level.
  • Comfort operating as a Solution Architect / Design Lead, above hands-on configuration work.
  • Prior experience supporting Manhattan TM implementations or multi-system transformation programs, ideally in manufacturing, high-tech, CPG, retail, or logistics verticals.
  • Availability to start immediately and commit to a multi-phase engagement.
  • Based onshore in the US.
  • Ability to travel to Irvine, CA up to 3 days per week during active CRP sessions.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with integration protocols, mappings, or cloud security/NFR work (though these are handled by a separate technical workstream).

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business, operations, and technology stakeholders to lead and support transportation management requirements.
  • Assess the feasibility of implementing dock scheduling and carrier communication capabilities within Manhattan Active TMS.
  • Demonstrate and pilot dock scheduling and carrier communication functionality during Conference Room Pilot (CRP) sessions.
  • Document solution designs and design decisions, extending this work to cover the full TMS flow including carrier setup, contract management, carrier procurement, shipment planning, and tendering.
  • Onboard sites and carriers onto Manhattan-TMS.
  • Provide continuity of design knowledge across project phases to minimize ramp-up risk for the broader implementation.
  • Travel onsite to Irvine, CA up to 3 days per week.
