About The Position
Mathematics Tutorial Center staff provide individual and/or small group tutoring to students to help them improve their math skills by teaching them how to perform the calculations needed to complete homework and prepare for tests, review class material, and help clarify and/or reinforce course content.
Requirements
- A grade point average (G.P.A.) of 3.0 or higher.
- An A or B grade in the course(s) to be tutored.
- A completed Mathematics Faculty Recommendation for Employment form.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual and/or small group tutoring to students.
- Help students improve their math skills.
- Teach students how to perform calculations for homework and tests.
- Review class material with students.
- Clarify and/or reinforce course content.
