About The Position

Cardinal Ritter College Prep, a St. Louis Archdiocesan coeducational college preparatory high school for grades 9–12, seeks a certified Mathematics Teacher for the 2026–2027 school year. SLU 1818, UMSL, or AP credentials to teach college‑credit mathematics are preferred but not required. Applicants must demonstrate the ability to teach in an urban, college‑preparatory environment, possess a strong academic background, and hold a Missouri State Teaching License (Master’s degree preferred). The employed person is expected to: Articulate and uphold the policies, procedures, mission, and vision of the St. Louis Archdiocese and Cardinal Ritter College Preparatory High School. Properly plan and deliver quality instruction using the Gradual Release Model; design assessments that promote higher‑order thinking; integrate instructional technology; implement project‑based learning; maintain a classroom atmosphere conducive to learning; and utilize the school’s online student data system and Google applications. Candidates must also demonstrate a commitment to the vocation of teaching and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a mathematics‑related field or related discipline required (Master’s preferred)
  • Missouri State Teaching Certification preferred (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • Strong classroom‑management and instructional skills
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet diverse learning needs
  • Commitment to integrating project‑based learning, real‑world applications, and problem‑solving into instruction
  • Ability to incorporate technology effectively to enhance student learning

Nice To Haves

  • SLU 1818, UMSL, or AP credentials to teach college‑credit mathematics are preferred but not required.
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience (highly preferred)
