About The Position

Chandler School is seeking exceptional candidates for the position of K-2 Math Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year. This role involves collaborating with school administration to analyze data for instructional improvement, providing targeted student instruction, sharing best practices and resources with teaching staff, supporting families in promoting mathematical experiences outside of school, and working with the district Mathematics Department to ensure curriculum alignment across the district.

Requirements

Current Certification in Elementary Education (1-6) w/ supplemental coursework in Mathematics or Mathematics (1-6) from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education with SEI Endorsement
Bachelor's Degree or higher from accredited college or university
Experience meeting the needs of diverse learners
Ability to plan and implement lessons that are aligned with Massachusetts Mathematics Curriculum Frameworks
Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

Working closely with school administration to collect and analyze data to help drive instruction
Provide targeted instruction to students
Share best practices and professional resources with classroom teaching staff
Support families in order to promote mathematical experiences outside the school setting
Work with district Mathematics Department to align mathematics curriculum across the district
Collaborate with Administration to oversee and direct math tutors
