About The Position

Applications are invited for a CFS-track professional (teaching) faculty position at any level (assistant, associate, or full professor) in the Department of Mathematics at Brigham Young University, beginning in August 2027. Starting rank and salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience. The department has a strong commitment to undergraduate education. Candidates will be evaluated based on evidence of excellent teaching and the potential to make significant contributions to service.

Requirements

  • PhD in mathematics or a related field (completed by the start date).
  • Evidence of excellent teaching.
  • Potential to make significant contributions to service.
  • Ability to relocate and/or reside in Utah for the duration of employment.
  • Successful candidates who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend.
  • All faculty are required to abide by the university’s Honor Code and Dress & Grooming Standards.
  • Successful candidates are expected to support and contribute to the academic and religious missions of the university within the context of the principles and doctrine of the affiliated church.
