About The Position

SMCC is seeking Mathematics Adjuncts for the Fall 2026 semester, which runs from 8/31/2026 to 12/19/2026. The courses include Pathways to College Mathematics, Quantitative Reasoning, Technical Mathematics, and College Algebra. These classes are to be taught in person and may be at the South Portland or Brunswick campus. SMCC uses Brightspace as its learning management system, and some courses utilize Pearson's MyMathLab (MML). Familiarity with Brightspace and MML is desirable. Courses meet at various times, and all available classes are in-person or Zoom classes, not asynchronous or remote.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics or related field.
  • Ability to teach in person.
  • Availability for classes at various times.
  • Must be able to teach in-person or Zoom classes.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with Brightspace learning management system.
  • Familiarity with Pearson's MyMathLab (MML).
