About The Position

As a Math Tutor with Math Corps, you will work at a local school helping students improve their math skills. You will receive training to deliver proven activities and ongoing coaching. Each school day, you will tutor groups of up to three students for 20–30 minutes, help them return to their classrooms, and then meet with the next group. You will encourage students as they build their skills and confidence.

Requirements

• Dependable, with a history of good attendance.
• Able to follow instructions and improve based on feedback.
• Proficient in basic computer skills, including email and navigating online.
• Fluent in spoken, written, and read English.
• At least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent by the time service begins.
• A U.S. citizen, national, or lawful permanent resident.
• Able to successfully complete a background check.

Responsibilities

• Provide caring support focused on helping students thrive.
• Lead tutoring sessions and follow a schedule so students receive support.
• Track student progress and meet regularly with the school's onsite coach.
• Conduct skill assessments and enter student scores into data software.
• Participate in coaching and training to support your own growth.
• Share your experience with the community.
