Math Tutor
About The Position
Brainspring Learning Centers are looking for motivated, dedicated, and enthusiastic individuals passionate about making a difference to tutor students of all ages and abilities, specifically in Secondary Math. Brainspring, founded in 1991, specializes in reshaping reading intervention through one-on-one tutoring and professional development, equipping educators with structured, multisensory tools and techniques. Their tutoring services also support struggling readers and students seeking enrichment in any academic subject, fostering a community of skilled, confident, and passionate educators and tutors.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or in the process of completing a degree (High School Math Education preferred).
- If degree obtained or expected is not specifically in Secondary Math Education, and the applicant is interested in working with students in Pre-Algebra or above, the applicant will have to complete a math competency exam.
- Available to tutor weeknights and/or Saturdays.
- All candidates are subject to a background check.
Responsibilities
- Tutor students of all ages and abilities, specifically in Secondary Math.
- Tutor students in Pre-Algebra or above.
- Attend a three-hour Brainspring workshop if interested in tutoring elementary math.
