Math Tutor / Teacher
About The Position
Mathnasium Learning Centers are committed to teaching children math so that they understand it, master it, and love it. We provide personalized instruction and an individualized curriculum all built upon the Mathnasium Method™. This position is ideal for college students in STEM-related fields, high school students currently taking advanced courses (Pre-Calc or higher), teachers looking for additional opportunities, retired teachers and STEM professionals, or anyone with a passion for changing lives through math education. We offer a rewarding opportunity to transform the lives of K-12th grade students in our 4:1 teacher to student instructional model, consistent but flexible part-time hours after school and on weekends, a fun, supportive, and encouraging work culture, opportunities for growth and advancement companywide, continuous training and coaching on effective teaching methods, all necessary curriculum and tools, and discounted services for family members.
Requirements
- Math proficiency as determined by a skills evaluation on topics ranging up to Algebra I and Geometry.
- Ability to work a minimum of 6 hours a week, distributed across 2 days.
- Ability to work full or partial shifts 3pm - 8pm (M-Th) and 12pm-5pm (Sun).
