Math Teacher
About The Position
AoPS Academy is seeking a part-time Math Instructor to teach advanced students in small, collaborative classes using company-created curriculum and materials. Instructors lead engaging, student-centered learning and foster critical thinking and enthusiasm for mathematics. The position is in person at the Vienna Campus, and candidates must live in Vienna or the greater DMV area and be able to commute. Classes take place after school on weekdays and/or on weekends. Instructors must make an initial commitment of about three hours per week for each assigned class; each course meets once weekly for 1 hour and 45 minutes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Strong content knowledge in math.
- Experience teaching or tutoring students.
- Availability during weekday after-school hours, as early as 4 p.m., and/or on weekends.
- Ability to commute to the Vienna Campus; candidates must be located in Vienna or the greater DMV area.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship is not available.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field.
- K–12 classroom teaching experience.
Responsibilities
