About The Position

The Greenspire School is hiring a full-time Middle School Math Teacher for grades 6th - 12th. This role involves planning and delivering course instruction, collaborating with instructors on project-based learning units, and fostering a love for math in students. The ideal candidate will create engaging lesson plans and provide instruction that meets diverse learning needs.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
Valid teaching certification/license in Michigan for secondary education with an endorsement in the subject.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in planning and assessing educational activities.
Strong knowledge of math curriculum and state standards.
Teacher certification and endorsement.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement comprehensive math lesson plans that meet the curriculum standards and cater to diverse learning styles.
Develop assessments and monitor student performance through various methods, including tests, quizzes, projects, and presentations.
Collaborate with colleagues to align curricula and participate in ongoing professional development initiatives.
Participate in school activities, meetings, and events to contribute to the overall mission of the institution.
Maintain a safe and positive environment for all students.
Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and school staff.
