About The Position
The Math Teacher will be responsible for preparing and implementing the mathematics curriculum for secondary school students. This role involves teaching, assessing student progress, maintaining classroom discipline, and communicating with parents regarding student achievements.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Math or Math Education.
- 1 year of experience as a Math Teacher at the secondary school level.
- Teaching experience must be full-time as a teacher of record (not substitute).
- Teaching experience must be in a general education setting (not special population).
Responsibilities
- Prepare appropriate curriculum and annual plan for administration approval.
- Teach secondary school students in Mathematics.
- Apply the approved curriculum.
- Keep attendance records.
- Assign lessons.
- Administer tests to evaluate students' progress.
- Maintain discipline in the classroom.
- Create lesson plans.
- Correct homework.
- Evaluate teacher-made tests.
- Prepare tests to evaluate students' progress.
- Record test results.
- Issue reports to inform parents of progress.
- Contact parents to offer positive reinforcement regarding social and academic achievements.
