About The Position

Holy Rosary School (Seattle) is a dynamic STEM plus Catholic school in West Seattle dedicated to helping their students grow as disciples of Christ. Serving students from preschool - 8th grade, we are looking for a leave replacement math specialist to join our faculty of committed, faith-filled, and collaborative educators beginning in late October or early November, 2026, likely continuing into the spring or late into the school year.

Requirements

  • Passionate about Catholic education and its purpose.
  • Understand the developmental needs of elementary students.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the Common Core Standards, Curriculum Mapping, and use of formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of successful differentiation techniques in order to ensure all students learn at high levels.
  • Can communicate effectively and proactively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Have strong classroom management skills.
  • Are creative, engaging, and dynamic in the classroom.
  • Knowledgeable of STEM principles and how project-based learning can apply to all subject areas.
  • Possess or are eligible for a Washington State Teaching Certificate.
  • Fully vaccinated.

Responsibilities

  • Teach math to students in grades 5-8.
  • Utilize Common Core Standards, Curriculum Mapping, and formative and summative assessments to drive instruction.
  • Implement differentiation techniques to ensure all students learn at high levels.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively with staff, students, and parents.
  • Apply STEM principles and project-based learning to all subject areas.
