About The Position
Brightmont Academy is seeking a Part-Time Math & Science Teacher to provide one-to-one instruction to students in grades 1-12. This role focuses on tailoring lessons to individual student needs and learning styles, guiding students to mastery, and fostering academic success in a nurturing, student-centered environment. The position offers a flexible schedule with no lesson planning or outside work required, allowing teachers to concentrate on inspiring their students.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s Degree in a Math or Science subject area (Math, Chemistry, Physics, Engineering, Biology).
- Patience and empathy, understanding that every student learns differently and commitment to supporting them.
- A genuine passion for teaching and sharing your subject with the next generation.
- Proficiency using G-Suite and Learning Management Software (LMS).
- Ability to provide fingerprints (AZ, WA, only) and pass a federal background check.
Nice To Haves
- A teaching certification.
- An advanced degree in a specific subject area of expertise.
- Previous one-to-one teaching experience.
