About The Position

Assist students needing extra support in core academic areas. This role involves analyzing student achievement data, determining instructional intervention strategies, and providing remedial/intervention instruction to students in individual, small group, and team teaching situations. The Intervention Teacher will also assist support teachers in delivering a strongly aligned district curriculum and developing effective instructional supplies and materials. A key aspect of the role is establishing and maintaining strong relationships with students, colleagues, parents, and administrators, while fostering a positive school climate and supporting collegiality among staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university.
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate.
  • Knowledge of best instructional practices and strategies.
  • Knowledge of TEKS and student expectations.
  • Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective decision-making skills.
  • Strong work standards for self and others.
  • Ability to build relationships with students.
  • Ability to work collegially with classroom teachers and other support/intervention staff.

Nice To Haves

  • Math Specialization preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist support teachers in the delivery of a strongly aligned district curriculum.
