About The Position

AoPS Academy is seeking a passionate Math Instructor to join our team. This part-time role involves teaching an engaging curriculum to advanced students in small class settings. The instructor will be responsible for actively involving students in learning, managing classrooms of up to 16 students, grading tests and providing feedback, building relationships with students and families, and inspiring a love for learning and critical thinking in mathematics. The position is located at our Saratoga campus and requires candidates to be in or near Saratoga, CA, with the ability to commute to the campus.

Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree is required.
Strong content knowledge in math.
Experience teaching or tutoring students.
Must be legally authorized to work in the US.
Candidates must be located in Saratoga, CA or the greater area and must be able to commute to our campus.
Candidates must be available to teach during weekday after-school hours (as early as 4pm) and/or on weekends.
This position requires a minimum initial commitment of about 3 hours per week for each assigned class.

Nice To Haves

A Bachelor’s degree in a STEM-related or educational field is strongly preferred.
A formal teaching credential is not required for this position.
