About The Position
Mathnasium makes math make sense - Building children's confidence and a deep understanding of mathematics. Mathnasium Learning Centers are committed to teaching children math so that they understand it, master it, and love it. Our curriculum is built upon the Mathnasium Method™, the result of decades of hands-on instruction and development - and has changed the lives of students since 2002. Requirements
- Passion for math and working with students
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Eagerness to learn and be trained
- Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
- Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
- All applicants will be required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check.
Nice To Haves
- High School Diploma preferred
Responsibilities
- Teach/tutor using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices
- Work collaboratively with team members to deliver individualized instruction in a group setting
- Assess students’ learning progress and engagement throughout instructional sessions
- Follow-up with parents and guardians regarding students' learning progress and engagement
- Become proficient with Mathnasium educational materials, systems, and processes
- Support the maintenance of a clean, safe, and professional learning environment
- Report to Center Director/Assistant Center Directors/Lead Instructors for instruction/work
- Be reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling assigned duties and obligations
- Be honest and ethical in interactions with all customers
- Instructors are expected to work at least 3 days per week aligned with instructional hours
