About The Position

Reynolds Community College is seeking two part-time Math Central Tutors, one for its PRC /virtual campus and one for its DTC /virtual campus. The Math Central+ Center supports the retention and success objectives through peer advising and course remediation. The tutor will provide academic support to students in mathematics individually, in small groups, or as an embedded tutor in a course. Such services may be provided in-person/on campus or virtually as determined by the supervisor. The role requires effective communication using both oral and written skills for reports, email, student feedback, etc. The tutor will also maintain working knowledge of educational software programs (e.g., MyMathLab) and instructional techniques and tools. Additionally, the tutor will distribute, inventory, and maintain MC+ equipment (e.g., calculators). The position may involve attending additional training sessions and Professional Development Opportunities related to the position or at the supervisor’s discretion.
