About The Position

Nexus MedPro Staffing is seeking an experienced Maternal Fetal Medicine (MFM) Sonographer / OB Ultrasound Technologist for a 13-week travel assignment at an outpatient Maternal Fetal Medicine / High-Risk OB clinic in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. The sonographer performs specialized obstetric ultrasound examinations for patients with high-risk pregnancies, including comprehensive fetal anatomical surveys, fetal echocardiography, growth assessments, and Doppler studies. The role requires accurate documentation and exceptional patient care, with examinations performed one-on-one. The clinic sees approximately 7–9 scans per day and serves adolescent and adult patients. The position uses GE Voluson E10 ultrasound equipment and Epic and Viewpoint documentation systems. The schedule is five 8-hour day shifts, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, for 40 hours per week. There are no weekend, on-call, or floating requirements. Black scrubs are required and are not provided. The assignment starts November 25, 2026, and lasts 13 weeks. Weekly pay is up to $2,442.

Requirements

At least 2 years of Maternal Fetal Medicine or high-risk OB ultrasound experience.
ARDMS certification in OB/GYN.
Epic charting experience.
Experience in high-risk obstetrics, maternal fetal medicine, and obstetric ultrasound.
Experience using GE Voluson E10 ultrasound equipment.
Proficiency in first-, second-, and third-trimester ultrasound examinations.
Experience performing comprehensive fetal anatomical surveys.
Experience with fetal echocardiography and fetal cardiac imaging.
Proficiency in fetal growth assessments and biometric measurements.
Experience performing nuchal translucency screening and umbilical cord Doppler studies.
Ability to evaluate multiple gestations and placental abnormalities.
Strong knowledge of fetal anatomy and prenatal ultrasound imaging.

Nice To Haves

ARDMS Fetal Echocardiography (FE) certification.
Experience assisting with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS).
PACS experience.
Experience in Labor and Delivery settings.
Additional experience with advanced fetal imaging and high-risk pregnancy evaluations.

Responsibilities

Perform first-, second-, and third-trimester obstetric ultrasound examinations.
Perform comprehensive fetal anatomical surveys and Level II ultrasound examinations.
Perform fetal echocardiography and fetal cardiac imaging.
Conduct fetal growth assessments and biometric measurements.
Perform nuchal translucency screening and umbilical cord Doppler studies.
Perform biophysical profiles and transvaginal cervical length assessments.
Evaluate multiple gestations, placental abnormalities, and placenta previa.
Conduct advanced maternal age and other high-risk pregnancy assessments.
Maintain accurate documentation and provide exceptional patient care.
Assist with amniocentesis and chorionic villus sampling (CVS), where applicable.
