About The Position

This is a Locum Tenens position for a Maternal Fetal Medicine Physician in Detroit, MI. The role involves both inpatient and outpatient clinical duties, including call coverage. The physician will be responsible for reviewing and rounding on inpatient maternal-fetal medicine patients with residents, providing inpatient and phone consultations, and supervising residents in a high-risk OB clinic. The position also includes interpreting and managing ultrasound services and performing specific procedures such as amniocentesis, cerclage, and external cephalic version (ECV). The coverage period is from January 1, 2027, ongoing, with specific shifts needed from January 1-24. The annual deliveries are 3000, with an average daily inpatient volume of 0-5 (avg 2) and outpatient volume of 4-7, up to 8 ultrasounds per day. The facility has a Level III NICU.

Requirements

• Board Certified
• Active MI License or IMLC
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification
• Ability to perform amniocentesis
• Ability to perform cerclage, including rescue cerclage
• Ability to perform external cephalic version (ECV)
• Ability to interpret U/S

• Chorionic villus sampling (CVS)
