About The Position

The Materials Tech - Supply Chain Management is responsible for performing various warehouse/storeroom tasks, including receiving, stocking, and filing delivery paperwork. This role ensures that goods and services are accurately received into the appropriate system, inventory items are stocked daily, and non-stock items are delivered promptly to requesting departments. The position also involves pulling and delivering daily inventory orders and back-order releases, counting and refilling par-level areas, and assisting with vendor returns and repair shipments. Additionally, the Materials Tech provides customer service by answering phones, returning calls, and assisting departments with supply-related questions, concerns, and special requests. They also work with clinical areas to review par levels and address routine supply issues. All items are inspected upon arrival, with any damaged goods documented and reported immediately.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent required
  • Ability to meet time standards required by position.
  • Basic computer, reading and writing skills.
  • Good communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle moderately difficult requests by performing necessary research.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year of relevant experience in materials management preferred
  • 1 year of customer service experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs various Warehouse/Storeroom tasks including, receiving, stocking, filing of delivery paperwork/documents.
  • Appropriate goods and/or services are accurately received into appropriate system.
  • Shelves/inventory items are stocked daily with incoming goods.
  • Non-stock items are delivered on a timely basis to the requesting department.
  • Daily inventory orders and back-order releases are pulled and delivered to the requested department.
  • Daily par-level areas are counted and refilled.
  • Assists with returning items to the vendor and with shipment of repairs, etc.
  • Deliver items on the same day the order arrives.
  • All items are inspected with damaged goods being documented and reported immediately to the appropriate buyer and/or vendor.
  • Answers the phone, returns calls, pagers and assists departments with questions, concerns and special requests.
  • Works with clinical areas to review par levels or other routine supply issues.
