The Materials Support 1 will be responsible for monitoring and maintaining inventory accuracy, processing inventory transactions to support inventory movement throughout the warehouse and production areas, and the physical movement of materials, including the use of powered industrial trucks. This position will also work cross-functionally and (in a limited capacity) with suppliers to maximize revenue, Working Capital, and EBITDA realization, while concurrently maximizing internal and external customer satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Above-average attention to detail, due to the transactional nature of the position
  • Ability to clearly communicate and resolve inventory accuracy issues is a must
  • Ability to safely operate hand truck / fork truck and other material handling equipment is required
  • Proven working knowledge of MS Office programs
  • Must be able to work in a team environment

Nice To Haves

  • 1-3 years of industry and/or manufacturing and warehouse experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain inventory levels and accuracy through executing transactions of inventory movement inside and outside the warehouse and cycle counting to approved program standards (including root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation)
  • Provide accurate perpetual balance records and transaction history detail of Customer-Owned Property movements
  • Work with Production departments, Quality, Engineering, and Finance on nonconforming material discovery, quarantine, return and reimbursement activities to ensure financial recovery
  • Support Receiving and Shipping activities as assigned
  • Physically move materials by hand or with manual or powered industrial trucks (Certification by onsite instructor is required for powered truck usage)
  • Support Service Parts revenue realization through pulling, packing, and shipping daily sales orders
  • Participate in company or department meetings, as necessary
  • Participate in annual Physical Inventory and its preparation activities
  • Stock production lines and keep the warehouse organized
  • Work in a team environment
