Requirements

  • Associate degree in a business-related field or equivalent technical experience, with high school diploma or GED
  • Within the past eight (8) years, must have three (3+) years of supervisory experience or successful completion of a supervisor training course
  • One (1) year material control experience in an industrial or military environment
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a “Q” level security clearance.
  • Must complete a pre-employment background check.
  • Must complete a pre-employment drug test.
  • Must complete the required employment eligibility verification form upon hire.
  • Must be tested for the absence of any illegal drug prior to an offer of employment being made.
  • Will become part of a random drug testing program.
  • May also be tested in the event of any incident causing injury or causing damage to property, or if it is determined that there is a reasonable suspicion the employee is under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
  • Requires a background investigation by the Federal government.
  • Subsequent Federal government reinvestigations may be required.

Responsibilities

  • Directs Materials personnel in all aspects of service work, shipping, receiving, and delivering site materials and equipment.
  • Manages the site's spare materials inventory to support plant operations.
  • Ensures compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory requirements through diligent auditing and material control.
  • Develops and implements MRO policies and procedures.
  • Supervises and trains personnel.
  • Oversees inventory control functions such as trend analysis and reorder point establishment.
  • Coordinates inventory counts.
  • Ensures a safe, efficient, and inclusive work environment.
  • Has the authority to stop work for safety.
  • Is accountable for the safety of all materials personnel activities.
  • Manages departmental budgets.
  • Evaluates staff performance.
