The Materials Supervisor will coordinate material control systems, inbound/outbound shipments, and materials handling activities and inventory control primarily from the shop floor. This role involves coordinating all material handler activities, warehouse layout, and training, coaching, and developing the material handling team. The supervisor will implement and assist in the development of cycle counting and pull systems, manage receiving and DMR processes, and ensure timely input of incoming receipts. They will also manage outbound shipments, coordinate customs compliance, and observe operations to ensure compliance with methods, quality standards, safety regulations, 5S, and Production/Materials Standards. The role requires efficient operation of equipment with corrective action for deviations, assisting in maintaining visual inventory benchmarks, and daily coordination of production builds schedules. The supervisor will conduct daily floor walks, act as a liaison between Materials and Production, coordinate outside warehouse activities, and monitor WMS. They will run RPS history and cumulative reports, manage supplier cum reconciliation, and monitor TUMS for accurate truckload utilization tracking. Additionally, the supervisor will initiate actions to prevent non-conformities, manage onsite trailer replenishment, identify and record problems, and provide solutions. They will control non-conforming products until corrected and actively participate in HSE&E investigations and the 8D process for root cause analysis. Reporting accidents, occupational illnesses, and HSE&E emergencies, and informing supervisors of potential hazards are also key responsibilities. The role ensures compliance with all safety procedures and safe working procedures in assigned material areas.
