Materials Supervisor
About The Position
Amsted Rail Company - Griffin Wheel, the leading manufacturer of quality railroad wheels in North America, is currently looking for qualified candidates interested in joining our manufacturing group as the Materials Supervisor at our Groveport, Ohio facility. This position supervises, directs and schedules receipts, disbursements and inventory of purchased goods, including recordkeeping and day-to-day storeroom activities to ensure adequate supplies of parts and materials as needed by production and maintenance for optimal materials management. Supervises, motivates, and trains material coordinators in order to maintain an efficient operation.
Requirements
- bachelor's degree in related field
- 3 years previous materials experience
- supervisory skills
- experience in shipping/warehouse/inventory materials management
- vendor negotiations
- Proficiency in personal computer applications (spreadsheets and word processing)

- ISM/APICS
