Materials Supervisor Wausaukee, WI Full-Time and On-Site Carfair Composites® is a leader in fibre-reinforced plastic (FRP) design and composite technologies. As a comprehensive manufacturer of engineered composite products, Carfair Composites supplies quality fiberglass components to original equipment manufacturers in the agriculture, automotive, construction, transportation, commercial, food processing, and medical industries. Position Summary: The Materials Supervisor provides leadership and direction for the planning and materials teams, ensuring efficient flow of materials and inventory to meet production schedules and customer requirements. This role supports corporate strategies and objectives while driving continuous improvement, operational excellence, and a culture of safety, teamwork, and accountability.

Requirements

  • APICS/SCMA certification (or equivalent), combined with experience in logistics, supply chain, or industrial supervision.
  • Minimum 3 years of materials supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
  • Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to lead teams, drive accountability, and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and other material-handling equipment as required.
  • Comfortable working within a manufacturing setting that involves walking, standing, lifting, and other physical activities.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop the Materials team to achieve departmental goals and ensure high performance.
  • Maintain compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations and company policies.
  • Foster a respectful, professional work environment focused on employee engagement and development.
  • Oversee material flow from inbound receiving through outbound finished goods.
  • Manage inventory accuracy through cycle counting, FIFO controls, and variance analysis.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Finance, Purchasing, Quality, Manufacturing, and Engineering to meet business objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement.
  • Promote lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives within materials management.
  • Lead initiatives to reduce obsolete inventory and ensure accurate data in ERP systems.
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce ISO procedures, work instructions, and departmental standards.
