Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working in a production environment
  • Significant experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment, preferably automotive.
  • Strong knowledge of building trades, cleaning procedures and maintenance.
  • Solid understanding of health and safety regulations and practices.
  • Practical experience performing program management tasks and effectively manages all aspects of the program analysis, problem-solving, continuous improvement, equipment calibrations, preventative maintenance, predictive maintenance, etc.
  • High degree of organization skills in a highly complex environment.
  • Strong mechanical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Great time management skills.

  • Ability to read and understand building schematics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
  • Computer literate with capability in email, MS Office and related communication tools.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the installation, maintenance, and repair work in equipment, tools, and building.
  • Manage a team of workers, regularly inspect work performed, execute work as necessary, maintain equipment, and assign workers to various projects.
  • Ensure all PM, Planned, and Unplanned Work Orders are completed on time.
  • Manage all parts/spare parts are ordered when needed as alerted by Emaint.
  • Utilize knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform continuous improvements within the plant.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly maintenance schedules.
  • Assist plant engineering team.
  • Oversee all repairs and ensure that work is completed on time.
  • Maintain all inventory and equipment and ensure proper storage.
  • Maintain and validate preventative maintenance and pre-operations checklists.
  • Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices on site.
  • Report key metrics and resolve problems preventing achievement of goals.
  • Support the plant in monitoring and achieving the operation's annual goals through its ongoing continuous improvement activities and focused problem solving.
  • Act as an on-site leader in maintenance concepts (Problem Solving, Kaizen, World Class Manufacturing, Audit, Preventative Maintenance, Pre-Operations Checklists etc.).
  • Conduct safety inspections as scheduled.
  • Train and develop Maintenance staff and direct reports to meet or exceed Company’s systems and customer expectations.
  • Lead the plant to adopt maintenance improvements, changes, and provide feedback to the corporate level on read-across opportunities for preventive action.
  • Provide work direction, feedback, and coaching to direct reports both staff level and floor operators.
  • Provide support to all shift crews.
  • Hold team accountable to processes and requirements to improve customer satisfaction and expectations.
  • Monitor condition of all equipment on an ongoing basis.
  • Oversee spare parts requisitions for purchase when notified by Emaint.
  • Oversee daily reporting status of spare parts.
  • Oversee spare part requisitions as required.
  • Ensure spare parts inventory is received, maintained, and put away.
  • Oversee inventory and all related records organized and orderly for ease of retrieval.
  • Ensure the parts room is clean and always organized.
  • Develop standardized written instructions for repair items.
  • Ensure the Maintenance Lead Orders Parts when needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
