Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Physics, or Chemistry
Must be a U.S. Citizen

Nice To Haves

Strong academic background in materials science
Data analysis and statistical methods
Familiarity with common software tools such as MATLAB and JMP
Internship, capstone project, or relevant coursework experience with any of the following: Design of Experiment and materials validation
Metals, composites, ceramics, coatings, and/or additive layer manufacturing
Destructive and non-destructive materials test methods and standards
Evaluating technical drawings for material specification accuracy
Enthusiasm for low-maturity projects with a number of unknowns

Responsibilities

Perform analysis of materials test and design data
Perform work related to the development of new materials, including formulation, evaluation, and maturation from concept to product
Oversee materials testing performed by internal and external vendors
Recommend materials selection and validation approaches as part of larger component design and test projects
Review technical drawings to ensure compliance with materials engineering standards and specifications
Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary engineering team for the design of aerospace components
