About The Position

As a Wabtec Materials Specialist, you have the opportunity to make a difference in our customer’s experience. As a Materials Specialist you are responsible for Receiving material into Oracle daily. Locating material and supplies by pulling and verifying and supplies listed on production orders. Locating and packing materials for shipping Storing materials in appropriate areas Managing and cataloguing inventory with consistently updated records Operate machinery such as forklifts Track inventory levels and make recommendations for purchases when supply is low Comply with safety regulations Assist with reporting materials related to KPI’s. Obtain quotes from vendors to use in materials estimates. Assist with materials estimates for prospective projects based on RFQ specifications and bid typical plans

Requirements

5 Years of railroad signaling experience, preferably related to materials management
High School Diploma required
Good oral/written communication skills
Good organizational skills
Must be able to comprehend and follow instructions that may entail several steps in a process
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Power Point, and Oracle database.
