About The Position

Brewer Science, Inc. is a major innovator of high-technology solutions for the semiconductor / microelectronics markets. We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Materials Research Lab Assistant Intern (part-time, 15-20 hours per week & full-time,40 hours per week in the Summer). This position will be in Chandler, AZ. Preferred candidates include students currently enrolled in a Chandler Unified School District-approved internship or work-based learning program; however, all qualified applicants will be considered. Summary: We are seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an interest in the semiconductor industry and ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Materials Research Lab Assistant Intern. This paid internship offers valuable hands-on experience in conducting laboratory analyses, experiments, and processes to support research and development projects.

Requirements

Current high school student (18+ years old), high school graduate, or currently enrolled in an associate, bachelor's, or master's degree program.

Nice To Haves

Students currently enrolled in a Chandler Unified School District-approved internship or work-based learning program.

Responsibilities

Takes ownership of small development sub-projects as assigned.
Designs and conducts experiments, including instrument operation, sample preparation, and performance characterization, under minimal supervision.
Processes data and provides analysis summary and may present results at group meetings.
Creates new testing processes and improves upon current processes.
Knowledge and understanding of safety and housekeeping standards and practiced in daily activities.
Learn and keep familiar with lab procedures.
Responsible for communicating with supervisor and team members, also may be assigned to cross-functional teams.
