About The Position

Under continuous supervision, responsible for receiving, auditing, and locating materials and/or raw materials to be used in operations. Dedicated to supplying the production line with the necessary material to complete established production. This role is on-site and operates on the 2nd shift.

Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent in education and experience (1 year university + 3 years experience or high school diploma + 4 years experience).
  • Minimum of 2 years of related experience in material handling.
  • Knowledge of computers (MS Office).
  • Good interpersonal relationships.
  • Manual dexterity, counting, and material handling skills.
  • Driver's license and forklift license.
  • Oral and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to pass additional drug screening as this is a Safety Sensitive Role.

  • Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Receive, audit, and locate material in the assigned conveyor or location.
  • Ensure that components required in the area are in neat and orderly condition. If components are missing, take corrective actions to resolve the issue.
  • Identify containers used in component storage with the appropriate part numbers following the established format.
  • Ensure labels are in good condition and replace when necessary.
  • Operate material handling equipment (forklifts, tuggers, etc.) to move parts to workstations as required.
  • Count, sort, or weigh parts and articles to verify receipts of items against requisitions or invoices.
  • Create a claim for parts that did not arrive correctly.
  • Prepare periodic, special, or perpetual inventories.
  • Manage inventory using the FIFO methodology.
  • Determine storage, identification, and location methods for supplies considering temperature, humidity, altitude and weight limits, movement, floor load capacity, and required space.
  • Validate documentation of material receipts against orders in the system.
  • Audit the condition of received materials and segregate those with any deviation.
  • Process material returns with the necessary documentation and evidence.
  • Unload, load, and transfer material from containers.
  • Perform system transactions and generate labels to identify merchandise.
  • Perform computer transactions.
  • Report balance differences to make necessary adjustments.
  • Examine supplies to verify conformity to specifications.
  • Create bundles of returnable packaging and empty bins.
  • Effectuate movements of empty containers, pallet platforms, bins, and returnables.
  • Fill kit carts according to the P-star to be dispatched to the production line.
  • Locate material from the conveyor to its fixed location.
  • Perform inventory of parts in the excess materials area.
  • Work with return-to-stock material.
  • Receive, locate, and dispatch chemicals.
  • Organize and distribute kanban cards.
  • Dispatch parts to the production line using kanban cards via scanner.
  • Validate material before dispatch.
  • Transport material to the production line in tuggers.
  • Inspect assigned equipment.
  • Verify and analyze material inventory at production line stations.
  • Support Lean initiatives (RIE, 9 steps, JDI, etc.).
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
  • Comply with company policies and procedures, including those related to EHS and ISO.
  • Execute other tasks and projects as required.
