About The Position

Lantech is a world leader in stretch wrapping technology and robust case and tray handling equipment. This role involves pulling parts from inventory, presenting them for the production process, managing incoming parts, maintaining the Kanban system, researching part shortages, tracking quality issues, and working with inventory management. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, self-motivated individual who can multitask in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of the Kanban system
  • Able to read, follow instructions, and communicate in English
  • Proven attention to detail
  • Self-directed individual with good interaction skills
  • Self-motivated multi-tasker willing to gain the experience with material presentation as it relates to one piece flow production.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed for customer fulfillment.
  • Detail oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety and able to work effectively within the fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to stay focused and on task
  • Sustained record of good attendance.
  • High aptitude for working with situations of a manufacturing nature, effective use of time, and be capable of adapting to a varied work environment.
  • Practices safe work habits as an individual and with co-workers.
  • Adheres to guidelines related to PPE (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • Able to pass a pre-employment physical examination, drug screen, and background check.
  • Willing and able to work overtime to complete project and/or meet scheduling deadlines.
  • Customer focused with a strong commitment to quality and production schedule.
  • Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required

Nice To Haves

  • Prior materials or warehouse experience preferred
  • Additional training from vocational or trade school is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Pull parts per bill of material from inventory for production process.
  • Present parts per machines panel layout.
  • Put incoming parts into storage location and document.
  • Maintain the Kanban system.
  • Print pull lists and use to research part shortages as they relate to bills of materials to determine root cause.
  • Track all quality issues on Quality Loop board.
  • Work with Inventory Leader on obsolete and slow-moving items in inventory.
  • Perform stock verifications and research root causes for discrepancies.
  • Responsible for 5S of component grocery and materials area.
